We have expanded our product line and have an immediate opening for an Assistant Production Manager. This is an integral role in our high paced manufacturing environment with responsibilities to schedule, manage and communicate project and production priorities with an emphasis on safety, quality and process improvement. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Project Management / Scheduling / Planning • Maintain, track and communicate project and equipment schedules • Work closely with the Production Planner to ensure efficient manufacturing processes • Ensure deviations from schedule are promptly communicated and corrected • Maintain a capacity plan and report on resource requirements • Estimate jobs, production and shipping timelines, resource requirements & capacity planning • Coordinate efforts of Production Supervisors to ensure production goals are achieved Continuous Improvement • Maintain, communicate and improve production KPI's • Develop, plan, communicate and implement manufacturing process improvements • Assist in the development of standard work procedures and practices • Evaluate the design and function of our current manufacturing processes, space requirements, equipment layout and making improvements to optimize maximum efficiency of our production operations Safety & Quality • Promote and maintain a safe work environment • Promote and maintain and organized and efficient workplace • Develop and promote shop quality standards To be an ideal candidate, you will have the following skills and attributes: • A Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering with significant experience in a manufacturing environment • Ability to decisively act in important, time sensitive situations • Must also have advanced knowledge in using computer programs such as Microsoft Office and other production-related software. Syspro would be an asset • Strong attention to detail, negotiation skills, good interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, strong leadership skills, and problem-solving skills • Results oriented
