Description

The AME-M is an experienced AME-Mechanical, reporting to the Shift Lead and is responsible for performing line maintenance and heavy maintenance in a safe manner. Duties and Responsibilities • Applying understanding of systems - air conditioning, hydraulics, engines, flight controls, landing gear, avionics, electrical generation, oxygen, fuel, pneumatics - on aircraft Signing off on own work and the work of others where endorsed • Completing daily inspection • Receiving and departing aircraft • Performing component changes • Removal and installation of flight controls, engine components, propellers and detailed landing gear work • Ability to perform rigging on multiple systems • Clearing up log book snags • Working in a safe manner • Ordering parts & completing paperwork Required Certification, Education, Experience or Skills • Completed apprenticeship and have successfully written Transport Canada regulatory/maintenance exam(s) and hold M2 Licence • Ability to work 40 hours a week in a rotating shift-work environment • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job • Ability to travel as required Transport Canada Licensed AME’s earn an hourly wage between $27.59 and $36.64 with room to grow into Senior and Shift Lead roles. Unlicensed experienced AME’s earn an hourly wage between $25.24 and $30.94 based on experience and/or certification obtained outside of Canada. KF will assist Unlicensed AME’s to achieve Transport Canada licensing.
