Housekeeping room attendant
We are looking for Housekeeping Room Attendants to join our team and provide excellent customer service to our hotel guests. Our room attendant responsibilities include changing towels, making beds, cleaning guest rooms, cleaning guest bathrooms, cleaning common areas, and doing laundry. You will also address clients’ queries and make sure our rooms are fully-stocked, very clean and inviting at all times. Ultimately, you will ensure a pleasant, comfortable and positive experience for our guests during their stay with us. Responsibilities • Change bed linen and make beds • Replace used towels • Sweep and mop floors • Vacuum carpets • Dust furniture • Replenish bath care products (e.g. soap and shampoo) • Restock coffee station items • Ensure coffee maker and minifridge cleanliness • Clean public areas, like corridors, stair ways, lobby, bathrooms, and laundromat • Wash and Dry hotel linens and towels • Maintain adequate inventory levels and order supplies as needed • Report any technical issues and maintenance needs • Address guests’ queries (e.g. on additional services/supplies) • Help guests retrieve lost items • Ensure all assigned rooms are clean and tidy by the end of the shift • Follow hotel security, safety and sanitation guidelines/policies Requirements • Previous work experience as a Housekeeping Room Attendant, 1 year minimum • Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products • Good physical health and stamina • Flexibility to work in shifts if required • Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards • Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines • Excellent organization skills • Ability to follow instructions • Flexible, responsible, reliable and trustworthy • Very high attention to cleanliness and safety • Ability to keep the housekeeping areas properly organized, stocked and clean • A positive attitude and excellent communication skills • Fluent English • Lifting up to 25 pounds with frequent balancing, reaching, handling, pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting, stair climbing, standing (95% of the work shift), seeing, walking the entire shift • High school diploma, WHMIS 2015, basic first aid and CPR training, and Housekeeping Room Attendant training are considered assets
