Food and Beverage server
We are looking for a competent Restaurant Server to take orders and deliver them to our guests maintaining and enhancing the quality of our customer service. You will work in close collaboration with colleagues and follow health and safety standards. The goal is to accelerate our business development by providing customers superior service and a memorable experience. Responsibilities • Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to cleanliness, sanitation and order • Ensure cleanliness and organization of both front and back of house and washrooms • Attend to customers upon entrance • Present restaurant menus and help customers select food and beverages • Take/serve orders and answer questions or make recommendations for other products • Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff • Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude • Issue bills and accept payment • Wash dishes and undertake cleaning and stocking activities • Promote dedication from customers • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience • Comply with all food and beverage, and alcohol service regulations Requirements • Proven restaurant serving or waitering experience, 1 year minimum • Customer-oriented approach and patience • Problem solving and decision-making skills • Hands on experience in cashier duties • Flexible, responsible, reliable and trustworthy • Attention to cleanliness and safety • As we are a licensed premise where alcohol is served a minimum age of 19 years is preferred • Ability to keep the restaurant organized, stocked and clean • Exceptional people skills, a positive attitude and excellent communication skills • Fluent English • Computer literacy • Lifting up to 25 pounds with frequent balancing, reaching, handling, pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting, standing (95% of the work shift), seeing, walking the entire shift • Must have, or obtain within a reasonable period of start date, certification with the Yukon’s Be A Responsible Server (BARS) program or demonstrate equivalent certification in other similar training programs such as Smart Serve or Serve it Right • High school diploma; food safety training, WHMIS 2015, basic first aid and CPR training, are considered assets
