Description

The Supply Planning Management (SPM) Manager plans, develops, optimizes, organizes, directs, manages, evaluates, and is accountable and responsible for all of the supply planning processes within the company. The SPM Manager is involved in the areas of operations management, logistics, procurement, and information technology, and strives for an integrated approach. In cooperation with internal stakeholders, the SPM Manager will be involved in the development and implementation of an integrated supply chain planning strategy. Experience & Educational Requirements  Preference will be given to candidates with post-secondary accreditation in Supply Chain Management or a related field or equivalent combination of training and experience suitable to the position.  A minimum of five (6) years of progressive industry experience is required. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other  Considerable knowledge of supply planning processes, inventory management concepts, technology and organization/design, integrated supply chain planning strategy, vision and conceptual design, as well as implementation is essential. Experience with ERP Systems is considered an asset.  Proven ability to manage a diverse workload while prioritizing time and resources to meet deadlines across multiple projects.  Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and credibly with widely varied audiences, handle difficult on-the-spot questions, overcome resistance and secure support for ideas or initiatives through high impact communications.  Proven ability to review material/information consistently and thoroughly, ensuring high standards of accuracy and completeness, with attention to detail.  Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint) and an interest in coaching, supporting, and encouraging others to exceed expectations through strong leadership and teamwork.  Ability to travel, sit for long periods and perform repetitive tasks at a computer/telephone.
