Responsibilities: Plans, delegates and supervises food preparation and activities of the station for service on a day to day basis, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and assesses production levels and results. Ensures Arowhon recipes and systems are followed at all times. Liaises and cooperates with the head chef, executive chef, dining room manager, supervisors and staff in a friendly, constructive and calm manner. Complies with sanitation standards ensuring kitchen is spotless at all times. Complies with and promotes health and safety and workplace harassment policies. Brings to the attention of the head or executive Chef, recipe modifications or any new recipes to be tested. Duties include: Daily supervision of service station-organization of tasks, completion of all preparations and cooking to company standards. Food preparation tasks. Sets up and operates service stations, as required, according to schedule. Helps receive goods and product and ensures quality. Organizes menu tests prior to each service.

Cooking certification 5 years of experience as chef de partie or line cook in reputable restaurants, hotels, or resorts. Experience working on the service line in a fast paced environment Friendly and firm supervisory skills, fair and respectful Can spot and resolve problems quickly and efficiently Creative and energetic, heavy lifting required Ability to live and work in Algonquin Park for 6 months Serious, energetic, career-minded and passion for cooking fresh food Proven ability to work as part of a team Legal permission to live and work in Canada A love of the outdoors is essential
