RESPONSIBILITY: To supervise the cleaning of all assigned areas including guest bedrooms, bathrooms, common lounges, hallways, decks, games room, sauna, front foyer, staff bathrooms and lounges, front and back offices. To keep in good working order all equipment and keep linen closets stocked with supplies and linen. DUTIES Include ensuring that the staff: -Sign in/out at the beginning and end of each shift, for lunch breaks, etc -Offer assistance to guests and be courteous at all times. To greet guests when passing. Knock on doors AND LOUNGES before entering. -To report for work - good grooming and good attitude - neat & clean appearance - in uniform that is clean, pressed and cared for. -Clean all assigned guest rooms, bathrooms, sauna, games room, offices according to standards set forth by the resort. -To have an eye out for details - dirty sheets, holes in window screens, smells, temperature of rooms, etc. Handle it yourself or if you need help or aren’t sure - tell the Head Housekeeper. -Study all job information and handouts - know the difference between occupied and checkout rooms. -Change sheets as required. If any linen, towels, bedspreads or mattress pads etc, are stained - change immediately! -Provide evening turn down service. -Maintain all equipment in good condition including vacuum cleaners. -To not bash antique furniture with vacuum cleaners. -Polish furniture, clean windows - as instructed. -Report any loss/damage of linen, furniture, pictures, equipment, to the Head Housekeeper immediately. -Report maintenance problems - leaks, running taps, toilet problems that effect guest comfort and enjoyment right away to the office. -Keep linen closets neat, in order, free of garbage and well stocked. -To inventory linen closets accurately so that bins can be prepared and closet stocked for the next day. -Assist in the Laundry Room when required, folding sheets, preparing bins, etc. -Clean staff bathrooms and staff lounge areas, as instructed. -Babysitting guest’s children from time to time – you will be paid separately in cash. - Laundry duties – folding linen, making bins, cleaning up.
